Founded in 2002, by violinist, conductor and music director, Marcy Sudock, MSLMO, empowers musicians of all ages to create peace through the international language of music. Our program includes the world-renowned Musique Sur La Mer Youth Symphony Orchestra (ages 11 - 18), MSLM Honors Chamber-Pops Orchestra (ages 12 - 18), MSLM Jazz Orchestra (ages 12-18), MSLM Flute Ensemble (ages 12 - 18), the Bliss-Philharmonic Community Orchestra (adults), the Shoreline Ukulele Orchestra (all ages), La Petite Musique String Orchestra (ages 7 -15) and our acclaimed professional orchestra and chamber Ensembles: Musique Sur La Mer. MSLMO performs locally, as well as internationally. We love sharing the joy and passion of music while utilizing music as a form of "giving back". Our musicians learn that creating music in and of itself is fulfilling, but creating music to make life better for someone else is wonderful. Through our concerts we have: helped build a school in Africa - sent children with disabilities to camp - collected canned goods for the food bank - coats for the homeless - concerts in nursing homes, in the jungle for children in Central American one room school houses, played for Alzheimer patients, for children's charities throughout the world. We raise awareness for other non-profit organizations while educating, uplifting and empowering musicians to reach their full potential as musicians and as contributing citizens.
