Kyla A. Parrino is a Trusts, Estate Planning and Probate Attorney.
Originally from a suburb of Seattle, Kyla moved to California to attend Pepperdine Law School where she earned her Juris Doctor (J.D.) and a Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution.
Kyla is licensed to practice law in both California and Washington State.
Kyla's practice consists of Estate Planning, Trust Administration, Probate, Tax Planning and Probate Litigation.
Whether it's meeting with a newly married couple starting their lives together, a single person or with multiple generations of a family passing on generational wealth, Kyla is eager to assist a myriad of clients related to their goals and the plan that best fits their needs.
An estate plan should typically be reviewed at least every few years and when a significant life event occurs. Kyla enjoys meeting with individuals to assess their personal situation to confirm that their planning is in align with their current status of life and in compliance with the law.
Kyla works with multiple generations of families to implement tax strategies to transfer generational wealth and assess tax liability.
She works with business owners to implement business succession strategies, including the formation of Corporations, Limited Liability Companies and Family Limited Partnerships, particularly related to rental properties, liability exposure and as a tool in estate and tax planning.
Kyla prepares Powers of Attorneys for clients and their adult children related to digital and financial assets as well as works with clients to appoint Guardians for Minor children. Further, Kyla works with clients to create Health Care Powers of Attorney to appoint individuals who will make health care decisions for that client in the event that they cannot make them for themselves and to implement end-of-life decisions.
When someone passes away, Kyla works with family members and Trustees to provide guidance and support, whether that is when a person passes away with assets requiring a probate or Court administered proceeding, or with a Trust requiring administration.
If there is a dispute related to inheritance, drafted documents or other family issues related to estate planning or probate, Kyla represents clients in court to litigate these disputes.
