Nicole Ramirez joined Kiesel Law LLP in 2016. Ms. Ramirez has been recognized as a Southern California Rising Star in 2020 by Super Lawyers. Her practice focuses on consumer class actions, mass tort litigation, catastrophic personal injury, and other complex litigation in federal and state court. Of note, Ms. Ramirez has represented various artists in class actions seeking payment of home video royalties from major movies studios including Universal Studios, Paramount Pictures, Twentieth Century Fox, and Sony Pictures. Settlements in those cases resulted in payments to class members exceeding $51 million. Ms. Ramirez has also represented consumers in class actions against major automobile manufacturers, and against various hospital systems for privacy violations. In addition to her class action experience, Ms. Ramirez has extensive experience in complex litigation, and has represented thousands of plaintiffs in multidistrict litigation and California Judicial Council Coordination Proceedings against large corporate defendants. Ms. Ramirez also has jury trial experience representing individuals in personal injury cases.
