Dr. Summer DeRuyter, as the President of DeRuyter R&D, builds and organizes teams around funding opportunities to focus their business models and accelerate their growth. She has a PhD in Co-Evolutionary Ecology and uses it to help start-up companies find the open niche in their market, find the resources they need, and develop powerful collaborations that benefit all parties. She was the Research Director for a green energy start-up company, CE&P, writing a $12M DOD consortium grant in collaboration with Caltech, which helped to establish a small wind energy research center. She helped CE&P raise 2.5M in private investment.
