Matthew Montanari is a Vice President and Private Banker with First National Bank. In this role, Matthew manages a portfolio of existing client relationships and develops new high net worth opportunities throughout Charleston as well as the surrounding southeastern South Carolina area. Prior to joining First National Bank, Matthew spent more than 10 years working in the banking industry in previous management and wealth banking positions with Regions, South State Bank and First Citizens Bank. During this time at First Citizens, Matthew managed multiple branches as well as a holding to a large book of high net worth individuals. Matthew is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a degree in Political Science and Economics as well as an MBA from Indiana State University. He has lived on Daniel Island for eight years with his wife Janice and his two sons, Connor and Cameron. He is very active in the local Daniel Island community through Daniel Island Academy which both his sons attend and the Daniel Island Rotary club. In his personal time, Matthew enjoys long runs, playing basketball, and going to the beach with his family.
