I’m Rachael Allen - A Realtor with a Mission When I became licensed as a realtor in 2019, I wasn’t looking for a career in sales - I was searching for a way to serve. In 2020, I found my path when I joined Homes for Heroes and applied it my career with Coldwell Banker. This program allows me to give back financially to the people who dedicate their lives to serving others: military members, law enforcement, firefighters, healthcare workers, and teachers. But my journey began even before real estate. In 2017, I volunteered for a role that would change the way I see people forever – I became a Police Community Advocate. It was an unpaid role, but it forever changed my life. It was standing in the middle of tension, hurt, and misunderstanding, with nothing but a willingness to listen and a heart that refused to give up. My role was to bridge the gap between two worlds that often felt miles apart: the community I loved, and the law enforcement officers sworn to protect it. There were nights I carried the heaviness of both sides home with me, but through it all, I learned that trust isn’t built in grand gestures - it’s built in the quiet consistency of showing up, in the courage to listen even when it’s hard, and in the integrity to keep standing in the gap. That season of my life reshaped me, and it’s the same spirit I bring into real estate today. My husband, Daniel, is a both a disabled Navy veteran and a San Diego Police Officer. Through him, I’ve seen the cost of service up close - the long nights, the invisible wounds, and the quiet sacrifices that don’t always make the news but change a family forever. I’ve watched the weight he carries and the courage it takes to keep showing up, and it has given me a profound respect for every hero who puts their life on the line. While I’ve never worn the uniform myself, I know what it means to stand beside someone who has - to shoulder the unseen battles and to understand that service doesn’t end when the shift does. That experience is why I fight so hard to be the kind of realtor our heroes can trust. Through Homes for Heroes, I’m able to give back thousands of dollars in savings to my clients. But for me, it’s not about the money - it’s about the message. Every rebate, every benefit, every dollar saved is my way of saying: I see you. I honor you. Thank you for the sacrifices you’ve made. My dream is to help at least 12–24 hero families each year find the home where they can finally breathe a little deeper. Because for me, every set of keys I hand over is more than a transaction - it’s the beginning of healing, stability, and the peace of mind they deserve.
