● Grief During the Holidays—co-presenter to church members who were experiencing significant grief/loss
● Night of Encounter: An Exploration of Value and Worth—co-presented a 5-hr. workshop with a focus on media’s portrayal of women and young girls to high school-age students.

● Provided therapist interview/expertise during “No Critique Week”—a week of the students at Life Pacific University focusing on identity and image.
Teaching Experience
● Parenting Class: Raising Values-Based Children—CFS contracted provider of Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Services—Instructor, 12-week curriculum-based course. Topics include developmentally appropriate discipline strategies for young children, school-aged children, and teens; specific challenges of single parents, blended families, and co-parenting; stress and time management skills; interaction and bonding skills for parents with infants and toddlers; appropriate communication skills and setting boundaries with children; and the influence of culture on parenting styles.
● The Utilization of Expressive Art Therapies in Healing Trauma—Presenter, Created and presented to students in an Introduction to Psychology/Counseling class at Life Pacific University.
● Grief Psychoeducation/Support Group—Facilitator, 8-week support group, for those who have experienced the loss of a loved one. Topics include stages of grief, how to remember and celebrate your loved ones, and have the opportunity to share about your loved one in a safe and caring environment.
● Anger Management Group—Facilitator, 12-week group, utilizing a psychodrama format—using live, interactive role-playing exercises. Instead of just talking about a problem, clients get to physically express it, use dialogue, and even try out different approaches in a safe environment. This format allowed patients suffering from various levels of brain injury to engage in therapy techniques to appropriately express their anger, increase emotional regulation, and improve communication with their peers while integrating their new identity as a person with a brain injury.
