Network Before You Need To

Realize that the best time to network is right now. Oftentimes, people misunderstand the value of networking, and only begin to work on it when there is a pending need or stop networking when they feel they are “too busy”.

Always remember that your professional network is not just about you. You should help people and they should help you. If you wait for a specific time when you need something, you are doing a disservice to people.
