
Networking Like a Pro
- Say someone’s name when you meet them; you are more likely to remember it…and people like hearing their own name.
- Take the time: commit yourself to at least one new event per month to network. Use your time wisely!
- Jot down a few details about each new contact you make while out networking on their business card to maintain connections in your follow-up conversation.
- Focus on being an attentive, interested and sincere listener. Avoid interrupting with your own input until you hear the answer.
- It makes you more approachable!
