Do These Five Things to Help Your Business

Do These Five Things to Help Your Business

Whether you’re starting or growing a business, entrepreneurship requires guts, grit, and grace to get things done, to follow through, and to build cooperation and trust. Here are five things to keep in mind as you launch or expand:

Embrace failure. If you never fail, you never grow. Spanx founder and billionaire businesswoman Sara Blakely credits her childhood training in how to embrace failure in helping her get to the top.

Nix the negativity. Find your cheerleaders, those who root for your success and help you get there. And lower the volume on the negative self-talk.

Get good advice. If you don’t already have a formal or informal advisory panel to help you, start putting one together. Those people will be a big part of teaching you to…

Ask for help. You know a lot. Now take a look at what you don’t know and what you can’t yet do. Then ask for help from mentors, business counselors, or other professionals. You’ll grow your knowledge as well as your business.

Work on your networking. Grow your circles, perfect your pitch, and get out in front of new audiences. How will the world know how amazing you are if you don’t find a way to tell and show them? Ditch the stale pitch and really connect!
