- You don’t have or know who your target audience is – Marketing without a target audience is really just putting stuff out there and hoping someone will be interested.
Fix This – Define your audience. Not the Anybody(s), Everybody(s) and Somebody(s), but a specific targeted audience. Figure out who and where they are and what makes them tick.
- You aren’t consistent – Marketing isn’t something you can do for a hot minute until you get busy and forget about it.
Fix This – Scheduling + Automation are your BFFs.
- You aren’t paying attention to your analytics – The only way to really know if your marketing is working is to track your results.
Fix This – Use the available tools to track your marketing activities. Before you determine if it works or not, take a realistic look at how much effort you are putting into it. Do more of what works and less of what doesn’t.
